Having gone through a very bad fire, my home was exposed when all the surrounding trees and bushes burned to the ground. I don't like curtains, so I made my own 'stained glass' pattern on transparent paper and colored 50+ of them; they faded within a week. When I found this product, I was delighted. (I hope they will keep out the sun, too.) Hanging it was easy, measuring it was impossible. I am very careful but was off by more than a little every time. Guidelines on the back of the sheets would have been extremely helpful, along with directional arrows. The amount of film per roll is so small in relationship to my windows that I had to buy multiple rolls to match the patterns (very hard, even with wall papering experience). It ended up costing much more than I'd have thought.
I like the look, but won't be doing as many windows as I'd like.

I love this product, my only advice is to measure carefully. It installs quickly and easily with no need to purchase an installation kit.
